The 2019 project focuses on the time-frame of the 2030 UN Agenda and is meant to interconnect Cinema, Environment and Sustainability.
Sustainability is a kind of development capable of ensuring “satisfaction of the present generation’s needs without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own”, thus encompassing: compatibility between the growth of economic activities and environmental protection; economic system development in full respect for the environment; environmentally-friendly production processes and lifestyles in the richest countries.
The basic assumption of the Cinedays 2019 meeting, therefore, is that respect for the environment concerns all fields of economic production, including the film industry.
The Panel will offer the opportunity for an up-to-date discussion on the link between sustainable development, national and international cooperation policies, creative activity in the audiovisual field, all within the framework of the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement on climate change.
The event will be held on October 23, 2019, at the Maxxi Museum in Rome, within the framework of the Rome Film Fest
