Fuocoammare Academy Awards 2017

Gianfranco Rosi’s documentary film Fuocoammare (Fire at Sea) will represent Italy at the 2017 Academy Awards. The film, that was awarded the Golden Bear for best film at the 66th annual Berlin International Film Festival, has been chosen by the commission of the national movie industry association ANICA to represent Italian cinema in the best foreign language film category at the Academy Awards. Nominations will be announced on January 24th and the Academy Awards Ceremony will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on February 26th, 2017.
