APT
The Associazione Produttori Televisivi – APT (Association of Television Producers) supports the candidacy of Rome City of Film.
Founded in 1994, the APT is the national association representing the largest majority of producers working in audiovisual fields: it's formed by 53 independent production companies working in TV series , documentaries, entertainment, animation and web series.
The Association’s main aims are:
- to provide assistance to production companies on subjects relating trade fairs, markets and international showcases in the audiovisual sector;
- to encourage co-productions across all genres.
- to build networks;
- to boost the sales of the Italian audiovisual product.
APT is a member of Confindustria and of the European Coordination of Independent Producers - CEPI, and since 2007 has joined Confindustria Cultura Italia.
In 2008, together with ANICA, it established ISAN ITALIA, society that aims at implementing the ISAN System, a numbering system for film and audiovisual works that uses a univocal, world-recognised standard.
It's involved in the activity of internationalisation and promotion of the audiovisual sector abroad.
It's the creator and organiser of Roma Fiction Fest and a member of the steering committee for Rome’s Casa del Cinema.
APT organises specialised courses and internships for students in production companies, as well as competitions and prizes designed to support young screenwriters. It regularly collaborates with Universities and public authorities to provide industry-specific training workshops.
Since January 2014 the Association has been part of A.S.ForCinema, organisation that coordinates and develops professional training opportunities for those working in the film and audiovisual field.
